Erin Simpson recalls showing up at the Huntly courthouse in 2012 to have her celebrancy application approved with the judge beaming with happiness.

“Back then, I was one of the first young people to walk through the doors as a celebrant and he was so excited,” she laughs. “He was like, ‘This is what the celebrant people need – a young person!'”

Erin was keen to take on the role so she could marry her cousin and, qualification in hand, she did just that at the Red Barn in Cambridge since then she has officiated over 70 weddings throughout the country.
